Microsoft offers a range of different licencing options when it comes to Microsoft 365. How do you know which is right for your business? The Grant McGregor team explains your options.

Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based service which gives you access to Microsoft’s most essential business applications. Here’s a guide to the different options available. We’ll also explain why we recommend Business Premium.

What are my Microsoft 365 options?

Microsoft offers two different options for your Microsoft 365 licencing for small and mid-size businesses:

  • Business Standard
  • Business Premium

With Business Standard, you’ll get Email, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive and the Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc)

The big difference comes into play when you upgrade to Business Premium. As well as all the apps and services included with Business Standard, you’ll also get world-class security tools and applications which enable you to update, manage and protect your devices. It is these advanced security and device management tools which make Business Premium our preferred choice for any organisation.

Note that with all licencing options, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is available as an add-on.
